The Leadership Institute of Acadiana (LIA) proudly announced its 2026 Distinguished Alumnus Leadership Award and Ignite Leadership Award honorees during the organization’s Annual Meeting held at City Club in River Ranch on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
This year’s Distinguished Alumnus Leadership Award was presented to Missy Bienvenu Andrade, President & CEO of the Community Foundation of Acadiana and a graduate of Leadership Lafayette Class XXVIII (28). The Distinguished Alumnus Leadership Award recognizes alumni who have made substantial, lasting contributions to the community and who are known as innovative, resolute, ambitious, and inspirational leaders. Missy was recognized for her outstanding professional and civic contributions and her continued commitment to strengthening the Acadiana community.
The Ignite Leadership Award was presented to Shyra Moran, Community Relations Officer for Advancial Federal Credit Union and a graduate of Leadership Lafayette Class XXXVI (36). Established in 2020, the Ignite Leadership Award honors leaders who quickly mobilize others for action, seek solutions to community challenges, and create meaningful change through their leadership. Shyra was recognized for her bold, action-oriented approach to service and community engagement, which continues to inspire others.

Shyra’s energy, stewardship, and ability to bring people together reflect the power of action-driven leadership. Together, they represent the strength and momentum that defines LIA’s alumni network.”
LIA’s 2026 Annual Meeting also featured the introduction of Leadership Lafayette Class XXXIX (39) and the election of new board members and officers, highlighting another year of continued growth and engagement for the organization.
