Billy Hobbs (Class XXXVII)

Born and raised in New Iberia, Billy Hobbs has always been a natural at building relationships. So, it’s no surprise he landed in a career centered around people.

Billy obtained a bachelor’s degree in public relations with concentrations in visual arts and business from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2013. In 2017, he received his Fundraising Certification from Boston University. Through agency work, Billy gained abundant experience, expanding his knowledge of the public relations industry. Then, in 2018, with the support of his peers, he founded his own communications and public relations firm, BWPR. Billy and his team have worked with individuals and companies nationwide, even securing international media opportunities for clients. Billy’s passion is storytelling and learning about clients to find the best ways to share their stories with the world. This aspect of the job pulled him in, and it’s what keeps him going.

Billy serves on the Board of Directors for Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana and Foundation for SoLAcc, serves on the Executive Leadership Committee for the American Cancer Society Black and White Gala, and was in Class XXXVII and co-chair of Class XXXVIII of Leadership Lafayette. He is also an active member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).

In his free time, Billy watches the New Orleans Pelicans, travels, and spends time with his pups, Tucker and Sonny.

Dianne Trim is a marketing consultant who, after more than 10 years building her career, established Trimlines Strategies LLC. She specializes in developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives that support organizational growth, performance, and long-term objectives across many channels.

In addition to her consulting work, Dianne is actively engaged in community leadership. She serves on the board of Hope for Opelousas in Opelousas, Louisiana, and on The Family Tree board in Lafayette, Louisiana, where she provides strategic guidance to support outreach, sustainability, and mission-driven impact for organizations serving families and communities. She is also a graduate of Leadership Lafayette, Class XXXVIII, further reflecting her commitment to civic engagement and leadership development.

Dianne holds both a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and a master’s degree in Public Relations and Cultural Communications from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Her work is grounded in a strong academic foundation and informed by hands-on experience, enabling her to deliver thoughtful, results-oriented marketing strategies.
