Born and raised in New Iberia, Billy Hobbs has always been a natural at building relationships. So, it’s no surprise he landed in a career centered around people.

Billy obtained a bachelor’s degree in public relations with concentrations in visual arts and business from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2013. In 2017, he received his Fundraising Certification from Boston University. Through agency work, Billy gained abundant experience, expanding his knowledge of the public relations industry. 

Then, in 2018, with the support of his peers, he launched his own public relations firm, BWPR. Billy and his team have worked with individuals and companies nationwide, even securing international media opportunities for clients. 

Billy’s passion is storytelling and learning about clients to find the best ways to share their stories with the world. This aspect of the job pulled him in, and it’s what keeps him going.

Billy is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), the Executive Leadership Committee for the American Cancer Society Black and White Gala, and was most recently a member of Class XXXVII of Leadership Lafayette. In his free time, Billy watches the New Orleans Pelicans, travels, and spends time with his pups, Tucker and Sonny.

BSA Manager, Home Bank

Torilyn Williams, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, relocated to Lafayette to pursue her education at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Life Sciences. Currently, she serves as the BSA Manager at Home Bank. In this role, Torilyn leads her team in ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines related to financial transactions.

Torilyn is deeply committed to volunteerism and community service. She is an active member of the Junior League of Lafayette and serves on the board of Junior Achievement, where she actively volunteers. Additionally, she is a part of the Executive Leadership Team for the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign. Her volunteer efforts extend to the 24 Hour Citizen Project, Acadiana Fatherhood Initiative, and Good Hope Baptist Church. Torilyn also contributes as a writer for Lafayette Mom and is a proud graduate of the Leadership Institute of Acadiana, Class of XXXVII.

A devoted wife and mother, Torilyn and her family enjoy traveling, attending sporting events and local festivals, and exploring new restaurants. She is an enthusiastic supporter of the Ragin’ Cajuns and the New Orleans Saints.
