The Leadership Institute of Acadiana (LIA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to convening, building, and activating leaders. Founded as an executive leadership program to provide Lafayette’s civic and professional leaders with an in-depth view of their community, LIA has grown to include several major programs, including its flagship program, Leadership Lafayette. As a regional champion of community engagement, LIA is constantly evaluating new opportunities to grow the leadership capacity throughout Acadiana.

Executive Director, Leadership Institute of Acadiana (LIA)
Reporting to the LIA Board of Directors, the Executive Director serves as chief executive officer of the Leadership Institute of Acadiana (LIA) and has overall strategic and operational responsibility for LIA’s operations, staff, programs, fund development and overall execution of its mission.
The Executive Director of LIA oversees and manages the processes, programs, and resources to support the mission of convening, building, and activating leaders to build and strengthen their communities. Under the guidance of the LIA Board of Directors, the position will help shape long and short-term objectives, develop an annual business plan and budget, and serve as the primary point of contact and public representative for the organization.
The Executive Director is responsible for the administrative components of LIA including marketing, finance, coordination of volunteers, and implementation of policies set by the LIA Board of Directors. Given the collaborative nature of this leadership position, the Executive Director will work in close collaboration with the events, accounting, and communications teams at 1A.
